A little about me.
I'm excited to be joining the MMS team this year and getting to know the students! My favorite parts of teaching are making challenging work feel fun and meaningful. I enjoy building authentic relationships with my students. One of my greatest joys is seeing the successes and growth of past students who've kept in touch with me over the years. I'm a busy mom a helpful husband and two creative and energetic elementary school boys. I work hard to keep my relationships strong with the family and friends I've left in California, North Dakota, and New York and am grateful for all the wonderful folks who've become my friends since arriving in Vermont seven years ago. I love to be outside during the superior three seasons and next to the wood stove with my cat on my lap during the fourth! I'm passionate about literacy and believe it is a fundamental human right! I also seek opportunities to learn and support school and community efforts related to antiracism, social justice, student voice, and social-emotional literacy.
