Dear Families
It's time for a new school year in the Milton Town School District, and it is with great enthusiasm that I welcome both our returning families and those who are new to us for the 2025-2026 school year. I hope you had a wonderful summer and are excited for the new year ahead.
As the new year begins, our main priority is for every student to have a positive and impactful learning experience. Our three schools are lively places where students learn, discover, and grow together as a community. We strive to create a learning experience where all students are known and supported, discover their gifts and passions, and learn the skills to succeed in a changing world. Everyday we aim to empower students to dive into learning, explore different interests, and build new friendships.
The heart of the MTSD is our amazing faculty and staff. Our dedicated educators work very hard to create lessons that engage, challenge and help students achieve. They also structure learning to build strong, caring and inclusive classrooms. Our administrative and educational support staff, food services and facilities personnel are also vital to a positive student experience; they take great pride in ensuring effective operations, providing healthy meals and keeping our buildings safe and clean. The strong collective commitment of our faculty and staff in helping students succeed is what makes our district great.
We truly believe that when families and schools work closely together, students do their best. Your involvement is very important, and we hope you'll be an active part of your child’s education. This can include coming to school events, talking with teachers, and encouraging your child to be a positive and active member of the learning community. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are here to support your family every step of the way.
Keeping our students safe is a top priority. We have a thorough plan for school safety, which includes modern security systems in our buildings, a school resource officer, and regular safety training for both staff and students. Our schools hold frequent safety meetings and monthly emergency drills. We also work closely with Milton Emergency Management to be ready for any situation.
In a world filled with distractions like artificial intelligence, privacy concerns, the impact of social media, and a constant stream of dramatic news, our core mission remains unwavering: providing a high-quality teaching and learning experience for every student. We're dedicated to ensuring school is consistently a safe, predictable, and joyful environment for your children each day.
Sincerely,
Amy
